Sheree Senn has agreed to have the fifth grade out to her cabin to cook out, fish and play games.  We will leave school around 11:30 and will be back by 3:00.  I will need drivers so if you are able to drive, please let me know. I also need volunteers to help bait hooks and take fish off :-).

Sheree is providing all of the meat and drinks but I need volunteers for chips and dip, cookies, cupcakes, candy, etc.  If you would be willing to send any of these, please let me know.

If you have fishing poles and/or bait (bread, worms) you can bring them too.

Continue to bring in items for the Operation Shoebox. The last day is Friday, November 1.

Our fall festival will be Tuesday, October 29th.  The fifth and sixth grades are responsible for the 'The Country Store'.  We will need workers to work 30 minute slots.  The time for the festival is 6:00 to 8:00.  The slots fill up fast so email me or send me a note telling which slot you want to work.
VERY IMPORTANT...  We will need things to sell at the Country Store.  What ever you decide to make and sell must be sent to school ready to sell.  That means priced and ready to go.  Things that have sold well in the past:

Be SURE and mark your item for the "Country Store" or it will get put in the "Cake Walk"!!! All items to be sold need to be sent to school the morning of the fall fest.

Thank you so much for all that you do:)

PLEASE READ: Field Trip

Parents:
In conjunction with the Forest in the Classroom activity that we participated in through the Extension Office, our fifth graders will be going on a field trip next Tuesday, October 22.  We are traveling to a farm on the Henderson Highway for some hands-on activities with other fifth graders in the area.  The program is from 8:30-1:00. We are in need of drivers for the trip.  If you are willing to drive, please send me an email or a note tomorrow letting me know how many students you can transport.  I will take drivers on a first come basis.

Students/parents are to bring a sack lunch.  They will have water available during the day, but may want to bring something to drink with their lunch.
