Due to SAT, we will probably only have class 2 or 3 times this week.  When we do, we will present our powerpoints.



Week of March 9-13 - 
We will be doing SAT review all week.  If time allows, we will present powerpoints during week of March 16-20 after testing. Otherwise, we will present after Spring Break. They will count as a test grade.



Week of  March 2-6:

Monday - go over SAT practice test
Tuesday - describe how the different types of  sedimentary rocks form
Wednesday -art/ describe the conditions needed for metamorphic rocks form - review for quiz
Thursday -quiz on sections 9.2 and 9.3
Friday - SAT practice lessons 1-3

***CHANGE OF PLANS - they have begged to do a power point on the rock types and I finally got the laptops back today so I gave in  :-)  We will work on them in class Tuesday and Thursday and they might have some time to work on them on Friday.  They will tentatively be due next Tuesday but with SAT practice and the SAT, I am not sure when they will actually get presented and graded.  It will count as a test grade though :-).  Therefore, we will not have a quiz on Thursday.



Week of  February 23-27:

Monday - we will go over notetaking sheet and vocabulary for lessons 9.2 and 9.3
Tuesday - continue talking about rock types and look at samples
Wednesday -art
Thursday -we will be doing an SAT practice test in preparation for the upcoming test
Friday - we will go over SAT practice test from Thursday.

Friday -talk about difference in minerals and rocks Final report due (Test grade) Display board is also due (Test grade)**
**we are hoping to be able to set up in the cafeteria on Friday so that you don't have to come in early Monday). We are checking now to see if this is possible.  Will update as soon as I have a definite answer
