We need your help

We are way short of our goal on the candy sale. (only 1 case was ordered in my class) I know that several people do not want to commit to selling an entire case so I have decided to "take orders" so to speak and try to put them together and I will be in charge of ordering the cases.  If you would be willing to sell some individual $1 candy bars, or buy some for your family, PLEASE let me know how many and which kind.  I need to know as soon as possible so that I can get them ordered.  You can email me at nferraro@pikelib.com or send a note with your child. Thanks for all you do!

Pike Lib is trying to get up a donation to send to the Harris family (CHHS football player who passed away). We are asking each person to donate $1 (or whatever you would like) so that we can show our respect. Please send the money in by Thursday.

Folders go home on Mondays. Please sign and return by Wednesday.

School pictures for grades 3-7 will be made Wednesday.

Excel Club is raising baby items to donate to Save-A-Life for Baby Safety Month

from September 29 through October 3.  To donate your items, please take the

items to the main office.

A huge thank you to all who helped to make Grandparent's Day a great success.  The kids did an outstanding job and I could not be more proud of them.

Dress for Grandparent's Day

The dress for Grandparent's Day will be:

boys  are to wear khaki pants and any color polo/collared shirt (or anything that is suitable for wearing to church)

Girls are to wear a dress in any color (or anything that is suitable for wearing to church)

Please no T-shirts!

Cheer for a Quarter

The Varsity Cheerleaders are selling chances to "Cheer for a Quarter".  4 names will be drawn and each one will cheer for one quarter at the Chambers game on October 3rd.  Chances are $1 each and are available starting today and going through Friday Oct 3.

Here are a few reminders:

• Be sure to return your signed folder by Wednesday. If there are any grades 70 or below, you need to also sign the individual papers.
• JV and Varsity volleyball play Eastwood at home today.
• Termite, Pee Wee and JV travel to Prattville tomorrow to take on Autauga.
• 4H is Thursday for 5th and 6th grades.
• JV and Varsity volleyball host Glenwood on Thursday.
• Grandparents Day is Friday at 10:00 for K4-4th  and at 11:00 for 5th and 6th grades

The Excel Club is asking everyone to wear red, white and blue tomorrow in observance of 9/11.

September 8-12

Congratulations to Drew Nelson and Jace Calhoun who have both won $250 in the Ken Cox Ford football challenge.  It is done every home game this season. Chances are $1 each. Get your chances for the next home game :-)

Grandparents Day is next Friday, September 19

Muffins with Mom is this Friday, Sept 12 at 7:15 in the cafeteria.  The cost is $5 per family.

Friday Dress

Friday Pep Rally theme is “Muddy Up Monroe”.  Dress for Friday:  Denim Jeans or shorts that meet the dress code and  plaid shirts and boots.

• AR has begun.  Be sure to keep up with your child's progress. This period has 7 weeks and we are in week 2.
• We have a pep rally this Friday and a home game Friday night.  Come out and support the Patriots.
• Grandparent's Day is Friday, September 19
